About Me

Hi, I’m Shelby …

I’m a certified prenatal yoga instructor and postpartum doula, with training from YogaRenew and DONA International. My journey into this work began after my own challenging postpartum experience. I noticed that postpartum depression and the struggles of the postpartum period are often not discussed openly, leaving many women to silently struggle as I once did. Having found support and healing myself, I felt a strong calling to help others navigate this important phase of life.

I started SupportHer Wellness to provide the kind of compassionate, comprehensive support that I wished I had during my own postpartum journey. My goal is to create a nurturing environment where new and expectant parents can find both practical help and emotional support. Through personalized prenatal yoga sessions and dedicated postpartum doula services, I aim to empower individuals and families as they navigate this transformative period. At SupportHer Wellness, I am committed to fostering a supportive community that helps parents feel confident and cared for, every step of the way.

My private prenatal yoga sessions are customized to meet each client’s unique needs. We connect on the mat as friends, combining conversation with stretching and strengthening exercises tailored just for you.

As a postpartum doula, I offer support that can start from the hospital and continue helping your family adjust to life with a newborn at home. As your postpartum doula, I can assist new families with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Breastfeeding support

  • Emotional and physical recovery after birth

  • Light housekeeping to reduce overwhelm

  • Running errands

  • Newborn care, such as diapering, bathing, feeding, and comforting

  • Light meal preparation

  • Baby soothing techniques

  • Sibling care

  • Referrals to local resources, including parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support, and support groups

My goal is to provide comprehensive support with evidence based knowledge to help you transition smoothly into this new phase of life. Additionally, I provide extra services such as “birth” photo sessions and recovery yoga, ensuring a well-rounded approach to your postpartum journey.
